Talisman Boxes is a concept that I developed, while brainstorming, unique, personalized gift ideas for a group of friends. Universally, a talisman is thought to bring good fortune & protection to the bearer. I wanted each of the elements in the individual boxes to contain items or symbols of significance to each person.
The main subject represented either a discussion we had shared together or something the recipient is passionate about.
Other elements include either a word, definition, quote or mantra, as a focal point and positive affirmation. The puzzle piece represents the individual and a part of the whole. The ticket signifies both the journey and the means. There is also a small bottle which contains an action word or message in each piece for contemplation.
The key: is the 'answer' derived from all elements combined. A copper spiral has been added to each box, which singularlry, represents passion, creativity and spirit. However; when joined with the other spirals it is a powerful symbol of protection.
On the back of each Talisman Box is a message and symbol to remind the recipient to 'Do all things with Love.'
A rolled, antiqued piece of parchment is attached to the top of each box which bears a description of each element and a special message to the recipient.
Size and Elements can be changed to suit your individual needs, while maintaining the overall integrity of the Talisman Box.
